Household help at home

Sometimes you can no longer manage the housework yourself, for a while or for a longer period. Help around the house then makes a big difference: it makes your life more comfortable and helps you live independently for as long as possible. Zorgplus Solutions offers household help through the Wmo (the Dutch Social Support Act, arranged through your municipality) and on a private basis.

What do we help with?

Our staff help with light and heavy household tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting and cleaning the inside of your windows. Depending on your assessment (indicatie: the official decision on which help you are entitled to) or your wishes, we agree on the tasks together with you.

Household help through the Wmo

Most of the cost of household help is covered if you have an assessment from your municipality. This is how it works:

  1. Request: ask your municipality for a Wmo conversation.
  2. Contact: a Wmo advisor contacts you to discuss the options.
  3. Assessment: the municipality carries out a support assessment.
  4. Getting to know you: someone from Zorgplus Solutions visits you to draw up a care plan together.
  5. Approval: the care plan is sent to the municipality for approval.
  6. Start: once it is approved, we start the help.

You pay a fixed monthly personal contribution, whatever your income. You can find the current amount on the website of the CAK (the government agency that collects these contributions).

Private household help

Don’t have a Wmo assessment, or would you like extra help? Then you can also arrange private household support with us. You pay for the help yourself or through a personal budget (pgb, persoonsgebonden budget). There are three options:

  • Fully private: for people who are not entitled to Wmo or Wlz (Long-term Care Act) care, or who prefer not to use it. At least 1.5 hours per week.
  • On top of your Wmo help: for extra tasks that fall outside your Wmo assessment. At least half an hour per visit, on a fixed schedule.
  • Occasional: for one-off or now-and-then extra help. At least 3 hours per visit, several times every six months.
